This survey is aimed to collect feedback on current crises and challenges that the African continent is currently facing and proposing possible actions to be carried out to support Africa in overcoming these dilemmas in a more sustainable way and becoming more resilient. The questionnaire was inspired by the report “Empowering youth to engage in responsible investment in agriculture and food systems: lessons learnt from 11 African Countries" released by FAO, the outcomes of the East Africa event held by LEAP4FNSSA in Nairobi in February 2020, and the outcomes of the North Africa event in Cairo also by LEAP4FNSSA in October 2019. The survey is organised as follows:
• The first part is dedicated to respondents profiling
• The second part is the analysis section concerned with identifying the current crises in your region, its impacts, challenges and drivers to face these crises.
• The third part is about the proposals and interventions where you will be asked to express your opinion, rate and select some proposed tracks and actions to be implemented in order to become more resilient.
• The final part will give you the chance to select/propose key arrangements and activities in order to create a FNSSA platform.
Results of the survey will be handed in a group of selected panelists during the “1 st Raising Awareness event” that will be held virtually mid of November 2020 under the title: “Towards an Inclusive FNSSA Partnership: Crises as opportunities to rethink an unsustainable model and empower engagement in R&I in Africa”.
The outputs of the entire questionnaire will lead the discussion during the event and will enable the group of experts to provide feedback about possible solutions and suggestions about research and innovation topics on FNSSA in Africa. The survey is addressed to the actors of scientific community, policy makers, entrepreneurs and civil society at large. Answering the questionnaire will take you less than 15 minutes.
We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
